Every team build (sab, discord, spiritway) will work on a Warrior but some will perform beter than the other depending on the situation (pve map) at hand.

For example:
1. Spiritway will be better in areas where corpses are lacking such as in SoO, where spiriway + smiteway works like a charm.

2. Spiritway is also better in Frostmaw where icy creatures are found in mass and they are an excellent solution to controlling the incubus (set up spirits, aggro them).

3. Discordway/Sabway is generally favorable in kurzick/luxon areas if you want to go for quick vanquishes. The minions can soak up a lot of the damage (and confuse) the splinter warders/salt spray dragons.

4. Against charr in EOTN HM, all three setups are bad (as originally given) since necros with their poor fire-resisting armor suffer at the hands of meteor-shower shamans. Therefore, you will need to make them go /Me with Manta of flame to mitigate damage, or bring in some spell interrupting skills. However, I recommend not to use more than 1 necro against Charr HM. 1 necro MM/barbs, 1 paragon (command hero) and 1 ER power prot/w SOH is the way to go VQ HM Charr areas. Bringing a buddy only makes this task easier.

5. If you play HM alone with hero/henchies, sabway is generally better in Tyria because the dedicated resto hero is a nice buffer for the sucky monk hechies Tyria has to offer. This gap is less noticable in EOTN where monk bars are much better.

In short, you MUST learn to adapt to sitations. There is not one great hero setup which is better than all. 3 necros is not the solution to everything. The fact is, people don't give their other heroes a chance to shine.

Give other heroes a chance:

1. Paragon heroes excel at non-removal shouts that can improve team survivality in HM dungeons/vqes. They can also improve damage for wars.

2. Dervish heroes: Good at orders/smite build while healing team as well.

3. Ele heroes:
(i) ER Prot for the strongest type of backline prot the heroes can offer. Some heal/smite variants can be nice as well.
(ii) Ward against harm warder + some earth wards excellent for vqing Sacnoth Valley HM forest area without cons. Done it and works like a charm. All 3 necros would be barbecued here, lol.

4. Mesmer heroes: Can shut-down bosses whose spells can be disastrous. Can also be effective against charr but they will need support from the team. Hexes generally don't work against charr whose shamans remove it, but interrupts are still fine.

5. Barrage ranger: If you can tightly pack enemies in a close spot, your hero splinter-barrage ranger can spike for a lot. Use this combined with knowledge of terrain and aggro positions.

6. Rirtualists are better spirit spammers and betetr for spiritway than necros, contrary to how people may perceive it.

In the end, someone can effectively bring 3 non-necro builds on a warrior and still complete tasks effectively and quickly. A good war should know his enemies, and adjust his team accordingly, but there are so many brain-washed players in GW at the moment, it is not even funny...like the following pugs I encountered:

1. "I refuse to run paragon heroes because they suck"
2. "Please load discord heroes or I leave". (He already has discord and wants me to do the same, lol).
3. When asked to change 1 or 2 skills on dicord bar, I get: "But this build is pro, I don't need to change anything, it always works for me" OR "I don't have that skill". It seems people only buy/unlock skills that are on pvx wiki, which is just sad really. No adaptation, just copy-pasting.

Also, if you team in pugs for daily z-stuff, please bring Save Yourselves (SY for short). 9/10 warriors I encounter never bring it or don't know what SY is. 1-3 SY in the team can make any task easy as pie.

In short, if you want optimal builds for task at hand, you must adapt using your knowledge of the game. If you want to run discord/sabway/spiritway which are effective but sub-optimal for a given task, you can do that as well.

Hope that helps.

I have to disagree with you on this point, having tried this myself. Spiritway is simply excellent against the charrs in EOTN HM because Ritual Lord, Shelter and communing Spirits are now feasible and they are more powerful than ever before.

I have beef with the PvX spiritway.

1) I realize the thematic flavor of massive spirits is cute, but honestly the channeling spirits and the communing spirits don't really synergize. From what I've seen, channeling is still pretty weak, with the exception of SW.
2) The rit lord hero is obviously a strong template, but it has anti-synergy with the MB. I don't WANT my minions to be protted, I want them to blow up and do damage. Also, because the minions are protted, that leaves considerably less prots for me and my heroes. Because of this, it doesn't really replace a solid manual-able prot spirit.
3) Lack of hex removal. Hexes and conditions are the number one danger to physicals (assuming a physical player). I wouldn't go anywhere without at least one hex removal on a hero.
4) Lack of SoH. With scythe or daggers you'd be CRAZY not to take SoH.

Here's my latest sabway-esque variation, used with my dagger necro. A WE warrior would work real well too.

Dagger Necro:
WotEP
Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Death Blossom
EBSoH
Asura Scan
Drunken Master
Death's Charge

Curses:
1.RoJ
2.SoH
3.Smite Hex
4.Rip Enchantment
5.Defile Defense
6.SoLS
7.Barbs
8.Enfeelbing Blood

MB:
1.Aura of the Lich
2.Animate Bone Minions
2.Animate Shambling
3.Death Nova
4.Masochism
6.Shield of Absorption
7.Prot Spirit
8.Aegis

N/Rt Order Resto
1.OotV
2.Weapon of Warding
3.Mend Body and Soul
4.Spirit Light
5.Rejuvenation
6.Life
7.SoLS
8.FomF

I never use a generic pvx hero build as they are. Adapt it to your needs and to your character's build.

I play a KD bar w/ my warrior that dishes out ~500 dmg alone in a 4 1/2 seconds. RoJ isn't needed, true, but it ensures I will be guaranteed to kill whatever I am targeting for.

Anyways... It's up to the OP to decide what he wants to do. I can't convince anyone to be genuine, right? That alone is reserved for their decision-making.

~LeNa~

May I ask your K/D warrior build that dishes out 500 damage in 4.5 seconds?
Ive been looking for a high damage build for a warrior but havent found anything great, thanks in advance.

Sounds like Crude Swing + Whirlwind Attack With Splinter Weapon. If not, SoH. Kind of hard to believe KD Warrior can rival the DPS of Dragon Slash.

DPS of properly executed 100blades under suitable conditions (SoH, ebon ward, whirlind attack, Sun+Moon slash) can FAR exceed that of Dragon Slash.
